Webmaster: This statement it is extremely important for those who are targeted (TIs) in open air black operations to understand this statement for it seems to reveal the m.o., the objective, of the no-touch torture techniques and ops applied against us. B. Brief Bio of Karen Wetmore:
1952: Born in Brandon, Vermont.
1955-: Sexually molested (raped, traumatized) by neighbor in early childhood, suffering amnesia at age of 4.
1965-69: Had breakdown and was involuntarily committed at VSH for depression and having suicidal thoughts at age 13.
1967: Fell in love with neighbor, Phil Cram. Both played guitar and sang.
1969: Her fiance, Phil Cram, is killed in a head on car crash while en route to her home to give her an engagement ring. Phil was unable to stop his car. Karen expresses her suspicions that this event was orchestrated by the CIA to maintain her as unwitting MKULTRA research subject. Were his brakes sabotaged by the CIA?
1970: Involuntarily committed at VSH (Vermont State Hospital) and used as unwitting, nonconsensual subject for MKULTRA (terminal) experiments.
1970-73: As unwitting, nonconsensual experimentee of CIA doctors in VSH, she was subjected to all manner of abuse and tortures in order to erase her memory (per Dr. Ewen Cameron’s “de-patterning” in MKULTRA Subproject 68 carried out at McGill University in Canada as well as to create mental illnesses through the use of drugs, including:
a) prolonged, 7-month period of isolation and restraint in which she was placed in straight-jackets and wristlets, feet and hands tied to beds, made to sleep naked hands tied behind the back on stone floors for extended periods (related to MKULTRA subproject 49 conducted by Alden Sears at University of Denver?),
b) hypnosis in “Special Interrogation” sessions, wherein she was taught firearms skills of which was totally amnesic.
c) ECT (electroconvulsive therapy at 30-35x regular dosage and over 100 times length of exposure) to create seizures, erase memory, and “de-pattern” the brain. In one ECT episode, she stopped breathing for 5 minutes and had to be medically revived.
d) EEGs,
e) subjected to V2K (Voice to Skull aka Synthetic Telepathy),
f) exposure to large doses of many drugs (LSD, Metrazol- used on POWs in Soviet gulags and also used to produce amnesia, phenothyazine drugs, Thorazine, Stelazine, and Mellaril (up to 1800 mg/day), and Sodium Amytol, used by MKULTRA scientists as a way to map the unconscious mind so she could be exploited later), and many others, including powerful tranquilizing drugs she was allergic to, often combining up to 8 different drugs at a time. . She was unwittingly surgically implanted with sensors. She made many attempts at suicide.
g) At least one of her doctors, Dr. Curlin, took advantage of her when she was comatose.
h) turned into a programmed MPD (multiple personality disorder) or DID (dissociative identity disorder)
i) surreptitious implantation with biosensors for tracking and targeting. She becomes a targeted individual.
j) organized stalking-electronic harassment
1973: She is discharged from VSH…. The same year that CIA MKULTRA experiments at VSH stopped and Director, Richard Helms, ordered the destruction of all MKULTRA files.
1988: She began process of therapy and integration of MPD (DID) with therapist Kathy Judge.
1997: She had, and still has, no recollection of what happened to her in VSH but she learned of them from her medical records. She began to piece things together.
1998: Filed lawsuit against State of Vermont and began filing many FOIA requests of various agencies.
1998: Just days after filing above lawsuit and filing many FOIA requests, became targeted individual (TI): phones tapped, certified mail stolen, gangstalked and harassed by strangers, including undercover federal agents, in all manner of locations and activities,
She worked on a lawsuit but settled out of court. Oh, and the book also needs an index.
2009/10: She was filmed in movie, The Real Story: The Bourne Identity, by Blink Films in London. Film was shown on Smithsonian Channel in 2010.
C. Ms. Wetmore’s health issues today: Today as an integrated MPD (multiple personality), Karen has had 2 heart attacks, 3 autoimmune diseases, PTSD, chronic depression, macular degeneration, an anxiety disorder, and is still dissociative under stress. She has very little memory.

E. Vermont Hospital Deaths (from CIA terminal experiments?), 1952-1973:
Between 1952-73, average patient population varied from about 600 to 1200. The number of deaths per year range from a low of 46 in 1953 to a high of 186 in 1958. Altogether, nearly 3000 VSH patients died between 1952-1973. Wetmore asks: Do these death rates represent the effects of CIA terminal experiments?
To avoid these speculations there have been massive and coordinated federal and state cover-ups of VSH activities.
III. Review of Karen Wetmore’s book: by Mary W. Maxwell (2023)
Karen Wetmore: Piecing the Mind Control Story Together and Seeing the Plan

Among the many books about MK-Ultra written by survivors, this one is unique. In 2014, Karen Wetmore published “Surviving Evil: CIA Mind Control Experiments in Vermont” (2014). In this article I will pick out some of the discoveries she made. Karen Wetmore is now age 70 and deserves the thanks of us all.
Karen was not selected as a child to be trained in the way survivor Carol Rutz was (via a military parent). She was not born into a family where torture was already happening, as was Trish Fotheringham. She was not born into a cult as was David Shurter. She was not sold on the slave market as was Brice Taylor. There is no mention in this book of any satanic activity. It was medical all the way.
Karen lived with normal, caring parents but happened to be sent to a Mental Hospital at age 13 when she had a breakdown. Personnel at Vermont State Hospital, VHS, were already doing CIA experiments (since 1950) and they seized her. They loaded her up with experimental drugs, including LSD, and engaged in an effort to make her have permanent amnesia.
Indeed, they did a pretty good job of that. Thus, Karen would never have been able to remember some of what happened to her from 1965 to 1995, except that she read about it in her medical records. She also found relevant stuff in medical journals. Luckily, Wetmore is a motivated researcher. She got initial clues by reading two books about VHS: “Empty Beds” by Marsha Kincheloe and “The Vermont Story: Schizophrenic Rehabilitation.”
Medical Deceit
I have not yet read those books. “Empty Beds” is about the high number of deaths — one every other day — at VHS, when Dr Robert Hyde was doing “terminal experiments” for the CIA. Yes, he was trying to find good ways to kill people with drugs.
As for the Rehab book, I deduce from Karen’s story that the exciting work of the 1960s in finding chemical cures for mental illnesses was deceitful. Do you recall how it meant that patients would no longer have to be imprisoned in hospitals for a lifetime? It seems that the CIA’s project called “Schizophrenic Rehabilitation” was a cover for other things. (p 57)
Karen Wetmore is herself an example of someone who was given various mental illnesses deliberately. I have to say it makes me wonder how common this procedure is! Her family believed the diagnoses — who wouldn’t? So they did not see a need to rescue her from doctors. However, she later learned that Mom had made many attempted visits to VSH but was told that Karen did not want to see her.
(Flashback. Cherri Bonnie went to visit Martin Bryant in Risdon Prison Infirmary but was told he did not want to see her.)
One should not ask an author to do more than he or she has painstakingly done. Ms Wetmore does not mention any tie-in with Tavistock. I don’t know if there was similar LSD work going on in the UK . But she does tell us that the main man doing experiments in Dachau concentration camps in WWII, Dr Hubertus Strughold, was allowed to come into US under Operation Paperclip. He worked at the Boston Psychic Hospital, later known as Massachusetts Mental. (p 81)
(Aside: I think we can say there was continuity in the investigations of the mind going on between Germany and the US. I also think Pavlov in Russia who experimented on dogs in 1906 has a tie-in with Tavistock. I suspect that the CIA does not work for a particular country but for the globalists. Evidence and Surprise Skills
In terms of “probative value of evidence” regarding the CIA’s crimes, one thing stands out about Karen Wetmore’s book, “Surviving Evil.” It’s that she didn’t have memories of her hospital experience popping up and then go to look for whom to blame. She had, and still has, no recollection of what happened to her in VSH but she learned of them from her medical records. These were obtained — after much effort — via the law of Freedom of Information.
I think one of the main reasons for her usefulness to the CIA was her ability to forget. At some point she was given electric shocks, at 30 times the correct dosage, but this was only a supplement to the main plan to erase her memory. (p 76)
Note: McGill University, Montreal where the infamous CIA man Dr Ewen Cameron worked, is only about an hour over the Canadian border from Burlington VT. But his deep-sleep method does not appear in Wetmore’s book.
Flashback. The late Trish Fotheringham in Victoria BC Canada, told me that twice in her adulthood she accidentally discovered a talent that she must have trained at, under someone’s control, and which she had no memory of. The first was horses. A friend offered her the chance to ride a ‘difficult’ horse. She got into the saddle and had perfect control of the horse. The second thing was guns. Friends took Trish to a shooting range. She got the first try wrong, but after that it was bullseye every time. Same with Karen, she was offered the chance to shoot a Pepsi bottle and did it so well the bottle never even moved. Her pals were startled, and so was she.
It appears that Karen’s memory loss was achieved chemically. Here is just one “dish” of medicines she took (p 50):
“The 1965 medical records [of Mary Fletcher Hospital] show that i was immediately prescribed the phenothiazine drugs Thorazine and Stelazine. Over the next 30 days, I was also given frequent large doses of Sodium Amytal [“truth serum”] used in MKULTRA in a way to allow the researchers to map the subject’s unconscious mind so the subject could be successfully exploited later.”
One of the reactions Karen had to being overmedicated was the condition known as dystonia where your neck, or other body parts, goes into spasms. She also had two heart attacks and an autoimmune disease. Even when it became policy not to use those drugs, Karen was still subjected to them. She almost certainly was given the hallucinogen LSD, too. And during an EEG she was loaded with Metrazol which almost finished her off.
Love and Cruelty
I want to state emphatically, from my studies of the CIA (or whoever poses as CIA) that there is no lengths of cruelty to which they won’t go, when “competing” with a defiant citizen, or one who might spill beans. In the following instance, I think the motive was to stop Karen from leaving their care as she was a valuable experimentee. At age 17, she fell in love with 18-year-old Phil Cam (to whom this book is dedicated) and they were about to elope. (p 60):
“Monday, August 4. 1969, was a rainy summer day….I knew something was wrong and I called his house. His sister-in-law told me that Phil was in an accident…. I watched as my father whispered something to my mother….Phil was killed in a head-on car crash as he drove from Rutland to Brandon. He pulled out to pass the car in front of him when another car pulled onto the highway. Phil couldn’t stop.”
Flashback. That happened to me, too, in 2021 in New Hampshire. I was in the front passenger seat. For no reason, a truck in the opposite carriageway came out of his lane and headed straight to us. My driver was very quick and swerved onto the shoulder of the road, so we only got car damage, no injury. If I’m correct that the offending driver meant to harm us, it could be that he is “on the payroll,” but it also could be that his car was remote-controlled to do it.
Note: I could be wrong, of course, but the trucker had no hope of passing. We were on a small, crowded street. As for Phil Cam, if it was murder there is no statute of limitations on that, and police can still delve into it.
Gang Stalking and Escapes
In other instances, Karen Wetmore was stalked, and occasionally gang-stalked. You can find an example of gang-stalking recorded in court by Patrick Knowlton, in connection with the murder of Clinton colleague Vince Foster.
Flashback: I have been with the late Blanche Chavoustie (a survivor) a couple of times when she was rather hilariously gang-stalked. She believed the purpose was to keep her generally aware that she had no freedom or privacy. It also makes you admire the strength of the opponent!
When reviewing her many hospitalizations, Karen figured out that her various escapes were probably “arranged.” (pp 98-103). She was never stopped when running out the door. She was usually brought back by state troopers, whom she says treated her very respectfully (p 111):
“I believe that my escapes involved the use of triggered response mechanism set up in me by hypnosis and implants.”
Flashback: Did no one notice, when MLK as assassinated and it was blamed on a patsy, James Earl Ray, that Ray had been a fugitive from a prison? He had escaped by hiding in a bakery truck that regularly arrived at the prison before dawn. The same is true of the alleged bomber of the 1992 Atlanta Olympics, Eric Rudolph. He managed to defeat all FBI searches for him for 5 years. I wager he was being held somewhere, or allowed temporary freedom, until he might be needed as a patsy.
Eureka Moments: Briefings, Placebos, and Happiness a la Klaus Schwab
For me, there were at least three big eureka moments while reading this book — other than the eureka about the mental hospitals instilling mental illnesses by drugs.
One eureka has to do with “briefings.” We often hear that one’s Congressman won’t fetch requested information if it is on a touchy subject. Karen Wetmore figured out that these politicians are invited to briefings of classified information. The speaker can drop in some info about a covert operation, but the politician is told that he/she is not allowed to reveal anything heard at that meeting. Clever or what?
Another eureka has to do with placebos. If doctors in a hospital want the patient to be given something secretly, they disguise it as a placebo pill. Thus, neither the nurses nor the patient are aware that anything is happening. Aw, why didn’t I think of that.
Now here is a very important eureka that may be relevant for the current World Order change to a new system in which Klaus Schwab says “People will own nothing and they will be happy.” Is it possible? I don’t know for sure, but Wetmore quotes Colin Ross as follows. He is quoting from an MK-Ultra Subproject 49 document that discusses the CIA’s interest in hypnosis (p 129):
“In order to investigate the possibility of hypnotic induction of unwilling subjects… [Don’t you love it?] Can an auto-hypnosis be taught so as to be as effective in the cancelling out of pain or other stress conditions? A person could create his own world and be happy in it even though he was confined in a very small space which was extremely filthy.”
The Blame Game and the Apology
While Ms Wetmore does say, often, in this book, that she is angry at VHS, and that she grieves for her lost life (as does Wendy Hoffman who was nearly 70 when she got the real story), the blame is largely on those who were not the guilty parties but who wouldn’t part with information. I won’t list them now; most of them are deceased. She filed a lawsuit in 1997 and was tricked by her own lawyer into settling in a way that prevents her going further now that she has more evidence.
No one in authority has ever acknowledged Karen’s suffering. She did have many kind nurses and a few good doctors. Her best psychologist was Kathy Judge. A trusted doctor, Tom Fox, died of pancreatic cancer (p 44) which I consider to be a likely murder, and a beloved nurse, Cheryl, was found murdered, with no one charged.
However, there was a happy experience. A Social Security officer, who did not give his name, must have seen her records before she did. He came to her house and said — which she did not understand at the time: “I want to extend an apology to you from the entire state of Vermont.”
There is much more in this book; you should get a copy. It is well put together and easy to read. To make this review credible, I had better find some fault, so here ’tis: The book needs a one-page timeline.
Karen Wetmore was born in 1952 and first hospitalized in 1965, at age 13. The really bad stuff started in 1971 when she was experimented on by the CIA. She made umpteen attempts at suicide. Finally, around 1997 she discovered what had been done to her and could piece things together. She worked on a lawsuit but settled out of court. Oh, and the book also needs an index.

Well, son of a gun. I just fetched this online from American Journal of Psychiatrity, 1955, article by Dr Robert Hyde, admitting what he did. I got only the absract, as it would cost $35 to buy the article. ABSTRACT:
Experimental psychiatry, i.e., the comprehensive study of experimentally produced psychosis, is important for the advancement of psychiatry.

[By the way, I have two friends, now deceased, one Aussie, one Seppo, who were given a drink laced with LSD in college and spent the next 50 years in and out of mental hospitals diagnosd with schizophrenia. Neither had children. One became alcoholic.]

“Huxley’s cohort in the 1950s experimentation with psychotropic drugs, Dr. Timothy Leary, of Harvard University’s Psychology Department, provided another glimpse into the perverted minds of the Russell/Huxley/Frankfurt School crowd, in his autobiographical account of the Harvard University Psychedelic Drug Project, Flashback. Leary first quoted Huxley:
“These brain drugs, mass produced in the laboratories, will bring about vast changes in society. This will happen with or without you or me. All we can do is spread the word. The obstacle to this evolution, Timothy, is the Bible.”
Leary then added his own two cents: “We had run up against the Judeo-Christian commitment to one God, one religion, one reality, that has cursed Europe for centuries and America since our founding days. Drugs that open the mind to multiple realities inevitably lead to a polytheistic view of the universe. I suggest a possible tie-in between the contents of today’s article and the need to move toward a nuclear winter. Namely, too many people are finding out the truth. In her book, Karen Wetmore walks us through her discoveries and investigations more or les in chronological order. At least two places (which I could find if there were an index…) she says Such-and-Such a doctor or politician looked genuinely scared when she approached. I am guesing that they are worried tht she remembers something even more awful about a past interaction with her. To date, she has very little memory.
Karen says she was violent toward bad nurses. Bad nurses? They too must have been trained. (As were Sarah Moore’s “aunties”). I recall stories about bad nuns in Canada and in Ireland at boarding schools. I say they had to have been trained to be bad. It makes no sense that a girl at 18 would give up her future to join the convent and then be cruel. An it makes no sense that she would not get kicked out for being cruel unless the whole kit and kaboodle of them were on a project.
Oh by the way, Karen, when you do a revised edition, please make a page of the subprojects of MK-Ultra which you helpfully refer to.
Ah, as I was typing that sentence, a banner headline crossed my screen: “Federal judge blocks California’s ‘misinformation’ bill.” We are saved. Thank you, federal judge. Don’t forget to check your brakes.

Remember the Unabomber convicted in 1998? (Very likley a False Flag). Wetmore mentions that Ted Kaczinski was an MK-Ultra subject. He started at Harvard at age 16, He was in an experiment on 22 students conducted at the Murray Centre. In The Atlantic Monthly in 2000, Alton Chase wrote:
“Through research at the Murray Center and in the Harvard archives I found that, among its other purposes, Henry Murray’s experiment was intended to measure how people react under stress. Murray subjected his unwitting students, including Kaczynski, to intensive interrogation — what Murray himself called “vehement, sweeping, and personally abusive” attacks, assaulting his subjects’ egos and most-cherished ideals and beliefs.”

You further explain that in such occult crime rituals, a synchronistic work of literature usually appears before the crimes are perpetrated, which serves as a “virtual script.” Can you discuss this virtual script with regard to the Unabom psychodrama?
Hoffman: Yes, it’s my contention that these are occult rituals and that like the Rosicrucian Manifestos of the early 17th century they are accompanied by anonymous statements of intent like the original Unabom manifesto, as well as scripts that precede the ritual, just as the book “Black Abductor” preceded the Symbionese Liberation Army Phoenix rite and in Kaczynski’s case, it was a story by Joseph Konrad.
d’Arc: You also point out that the Hollywood film, “U.S. Marshals,” starring Tommy Lee Jones, debuted in theatres across the country during the days leading up to Ted Kaczynski’s arraignment. Can you delineate this film’s connection to the Unabom charade?
Hoffman: It’s all connected, we just need to hone our holistic vision to the point where we can see the whole cobweb. Look at the movie “The Matrix” in the wake of Columbine. Look at “The Wicker Man” movie in the same time frame as Son of Sam. The themes of the killings are in the movies. The consciousness and secret gnosis of the killers is there too.
The processing is almost all out in the open in this era of the Revelation of the Method. Al Gore’s pal Tommy Lee Jones did a movie called “US Marshals” in the aftermath of the capture of Kaczynski. In the movie there’s a US Federal agent named Kaczynski (I don’t know how they spell it in the screenplay but that is the exact sound of the agent’s name in the film. Rent the video and you’ll see what I mean). Kaczynski, the government agent in the movie, is at the center of an incredible double-cross.
When Chevie Kehoe slaughtered William Mueller and his whole family in Arkansas, he eliminated the last material witness who could have connected McVeigh to the US government and the US government’s own pseudo-neo-Nazi terror gang, the “Aryan Republican Army.” When Kehoe perpetrated the killings he was wearing an FBI tactical command jumpsuit.
Revelation of the Method concerns mind control in the last stages and at a high level. When you tell someone what you are doing to them – murder, mayhem, kidnap, rape, you name it – and they do nothing to stop you or protect themselves, you have created a doubly enslaved subject.”

FOREWORD
People contact me by letter and email to describe ongoing harassment with non-lethal weapons, mind control techniques and intimidation. Many of their stories sound plausible and are told coherently, in detail, and with a context that makes sense of them. This may be a prior husband or boyfriend in the military, prior employment in the intelligence community, working for a defense contractor, or something similar. But, no matter how plausible, none of the accounts can be proven or disproven.
Karen Wetmore’s story is completely different. I have never met anyone who has worked so hard for so long to obtain solid documentation of her allegations of mind control experimentation. As you will read in these pages, Karen filed numerous Freedom of Information Act requests with the CIA and military, corresponded with numerous officials and politicians, and read a great deal of background material. Piece by piece, she assembled her facts, until she had documented a large network of professional connections, relationships and contacts between her own psychiatrists and the network of CIA and military mind control doctors.
Karen’s claim that she was a victim of CIA mind control experimentation is backed up by extensive circumstantial evidence – enough to establish her case in a court of law, in my opinion – but also by direct evidence and documents. As she explains, the starting point was discovering the name of Robert W. Hyde, M.D. in her medical records. I was already aware of Dr. Hyde. He was cleared at TOP SECRET by the CIA as a contractor in its mind control program, MKULTRA. He received $148,515.00 from the CIA in 1955 under MKULTRA Subproject 10 for LSD experiments. He received $5,580.00 in 1961 under MKULTRA Subproject 61, and $24,500.00 in 1956 under MKULTRA Subproject 66.
In 1955, Dr. Hyde published a paper in the American Journal of Psychiatry, volume 111, pages 881-895, entitled, “Experimental Psychiatry II. Clinical and Physio-chemical observations in experimental psychosis.” This paper is about LSD experiments. Dr. Hyde’s coauthors were Max Rinkel, M.D., Harry Solomon, M.D., and Hudson Hoagland, Ph.D. Dr. Hoagland worked at the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology, which was the site for MKULTRA Subproject 8, funded in 1953 for $39,500.00 to support LSD experiments. Dr. Hyde was the contractor on Subproject 8.
Other coauthors of Dr. Hyde’s on published papers include J. Sanbourne Bockoven, M.D., Jackson DeShon, M.D., and Harry C. Solomon, M.D. Keep an eye out for these names as you read Karen’s story. In 1958, a book was published entitled, Chemical Concepts of Psychosis, edited by Max Rinkel and Herman Denber. The book is the Proceedings of the Symposium on Chemical Concepts of Psychosis Held at the Second International Congress of Psychiatry in Zurich, Switzerland, September 1-7, 1957.
Participants and contributors to the Symposium include the following documented CIA and military mind control contractors and LSD researchers: Robert Heath, Hudson Hoagland, Paul Hoch, Abraham Hoffer, Albert Hofmann, Amedeo Marrazzi, and Humphrey Osmond. This is the network of doctors who conducted LSD, brain electrode implant and other experiments for the CIA and US military during the time period that Karen Wetmore was being experimented on in hospitals in Vermont. Paul Hoch, M.D. killed tennis pro, Harold Blauer, with an experimental dose of mescaline provided by the US Army at New York State Psychiatric Institute on January 8, 1953. Harold Blauer was never told he was receiving a hallucinogen. His family received an award of $18,000.00 on June 17, 1955 from the New York Court of Claims.
We know for a fact that CIA and military mind control contractors killed at least one person with mescaline in the 1950’s. What are the odds that Harold Blauer was the only one who died? Keep this in mind as you read Karen Wetmore’s account of the hundreds of deaths at Vermont State Hospital during the time period of MKULTRA, MKSEARCH and other CIA mind control programs.
